Concept
This project consistently derives from its underlying architecture - the theoretic conception and visual pattern of the Hamburg Kunsthalle. The Basic idea of narration was to dissolve and break through the strict architecture of O. M. Ungers "Galerie der Gegenwart". Resultant permeability of the solid facade uncovers different interpretations of conception, geometry and aesthetics expressed through graphics and movement. A situation of reflexivity evolves - describing the constitution and spacious perception of this location by means of the building itself.
Detailed Description
555 KUBIK is focusing on the idea “How it would be, if a house was dreaming”, by virtually enabling the building to reflect on its own conceptual and aesthetic creation process. The building is shaped by Ungers' idea of strict rationalism, leaving the monumental constitution appearing aloof to the viewer. By consequently dissolving the strictness, the resultant permeability of the facade evokes a situation of reflexivity - describing the constitution and spacious perception of this location by means of the building itself.
